Back in the Day

Here are a few of the machines that we started out with back during the second wave of recumbent.
I found these photos while going through some files yesterday and thought you might enjoy to see how much things have changed in 15 years.

  1. Yes, the early Totman. Looks like it came equipped with a full size cornet. Current versions have the lighter and very aero pocket trumpet.

  2. I've also noticed that the current Totman trumpet has dimples. I suspect he is using Zipp's research and technology to further improve his aerodynamic efficiency.

  3. Good point, Brad. I think the dimples also help with improved sound projection.
